Philodendron Sun Red 14cm

A bold foliage houseplant with large, pointed leaves. New leaves are shades of bright red, maturing to burgundy red-purple. A low maintenance plant with a compact, bushy habit. 

Habitat: Can grow to a mature size of 100cm tall. Ideal for pots indoors.

Light: Bright indirect light. 

Water: Water about once a week, allowing the top layer of soil to dry out between waterings.

Humidity: High, mist plant 2 times a week to minimise brown leaf tips. Keep plant in a warmer spot in your home, away from draughts.

Soil: Re-pot into Oderings houseplant potting mix

Fertiliser: Use a Liquid fertiliser only once or twice a year, preferably in the spring or early summer.

Flower Color:  Non-flowering

Pests:  Aphids are most common and can be found on new growth

Poisonous for pets: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested.

Feed with a quality liquid houseplant fertiliser over the warmer growing months. Can grow up to approximately 1m, they are moderate-quick growing plants.This variety of philodendron is considered to be toxic so be sure to keep it away from children and pets and take care when handling.
