The very popular birds of paradise houseplant. It is an evergreen perennial with large paddle-shaped leaves and can grow very tall over time, upwards of 1.5m. A lovely tropical-looking houseplant, in summer impressive orange-beak-shaped flowers can bloom. This one is double planted so twice the tropical feel.

Habitat: Can grow to a mature size of more than 2m tall. Ideal for pots indoors.

Light: Bright indirect light.

Water: Water well about once a week, allowing the top layer of soil to dry out between waterings.

Humidity: High. Can mist plant 3 times a week to help create humidity minimise brown leaf tips.

Soil: Re-pot into Oderings houseplant potting mix

Fertiliser: Use a Liquid fertiliser once a month in the growing season

Flower Color: Orange and Blue

Pests:  Aphids are most common and can be found on new growth

Poisonous for pets: Mildly toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
