Medium sized, compact, evergreen variety that produces scarlet red stalks year round. Cold tolerant and wind hardy due to its compact size. Edible reddish-coloured stems are used in desserts, preserves and cooked dishes. Ideal planted in garden beds or large pots where it will remain undisturbed.

Before planting cultivate soil to a depth of 20cm and mix in compost and complete garden fertiliser. Use Oderings Potting Mix for containers. Feed with blood and bone during the warmer growing months.
