Dicksonia squarrosa is a hardy tree fern native to New Zealand, known for its tall, slender brown trunk that can reach up to 6 meters. Its fronds, smaller than those of Cyathea varieties, grow between 1.5 to 3 meters in length and have a crisp texture, forming a compact "umbrella" atop the trunk. As the most popular New Zealand tree fern, it is easy to grow and maintain, tolerating temperatures as low as -5°C. It thrives best in partial shade with minimal wind exposure.
