Noted for its unusual upright habit, Seiryu is a medium sizes deciduous tree with small and deeply cut leaves. Strong but not overly vigorous, this maple enjoys a broad columnar habit and stands out in the landscape. The leaves start of green and turn a purple-brown and then to a brilliant red in autumn. Grows to 4.5m x 3.5m over approx 10 years.
