This small carnivorous plant is great for catching flies in inside living areas such as the kitchen or lounge. Grow in a bright sunny position on a North facing windowsill or outdoors, sitting in a saucer of water. Do not let the potting mix dry out. Healthy leaves are upright and green with pink tentacles. Floppy green leaves require more sunlight. Can be grown year-round in a warm sunny position. Will stop producing leaves and go dormant if conditions are cold enough in Winter, or if temperatures go over 32°C in Summer.

To care for your Venus Flytrap

- Keep it sitting in a saucer of water, they need the moisture

- Place in a warm sunny spot near a window for easy bug catching

- Don't fertilise at all, they get food from eating the bugs

- The plant will naturally die back in winter, so reduce watering and wait for spring

- Can be repotted into a peat and pumice mix, or sphagnum moss, in Spring when growth resumes.
