Angeleno's claim to fame is its excellent storage ability making it popular as a commercial variety. The fruit is medium sized, the skin dark red and the firm flesh is amber yellow and sweet. Ripens in mid-March.

Plum trees grow to approx 4-5m high by 4m wide over 10 years.

Most plums require cross pollination.
