Also known as the NZ Cranberry, this perennial is a compact, evergreen shrub producing small, glossy dark green leaves with new growth tinged red. Masses of white flowers followed by red fruit which are produced from February to March.

It can grow to 2m, but the ideal height is 30cm to 1.2m.
