Peperomia String of Turtles 8cm in Ceramic Pot

Peperomia Prostrata or commonly known as String of Turtles, is a quick growing plant with bold leaf markings that resemble a turtle's shell. These plants are very popular and its easy to see why, with a little care these strands of turtles will be overflowing. 

Habitat: Can grow to a mature size of 30cm long. Ideal for hanging baskets or trailing over a shelf edge. 

Light: Thrives in bright indirect light , the light encourages the leaf markings but keep away from direct sunlight as this will burn the leaves.

Water: Keep the soil lightly moist throughout the growing season but allow to dry out slightly over the winter period, be careful never to over-water.

Humidity: Medium / high humidity. Can mist 3 times a week to help with humidity level.

Soil: Re-pot into Oderings houseplant potting mix

Fertiliser: Use a Liquid fertiliser once a month in the growing season

Flower colour: If the plant does flower, it produces tiny cream flowers on long flower spikes, but it rarely flowers indoors. 

Pests:  Aphids are most common and can be found on new growth

Poisonous for pets: Mildly toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
